This project involved expanding the existing kitchen area to include the former outdoor patio area. The client enjoys cooking and entertaining while cooking. They needed more space for kitchen functionality and comfortable interaction with observing guests. Our budget was limited, so our design yielded to the existing building conditions in most cases.
We had the good fortune of working with a client that wanted to explore unique design approaches. So, we had the opportunity to explore custom storage systems and material finishes. Our solution included a custom back splash design incorporating cut travertine, turquoise glass, and brushed stainless steel tiles into a pattern that ties all of the new and existing finished together. We also assisted in the selection of the chairs that were purchased for a beautiful glass table located in the new eating area.
